Information about the examination

The language proficiency examination will take place on the Microsoft Teams platform of “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca.

For each examination day and time, registration closes 2 days before the examination day.

At least 12 hours before their examination date and time, candidates will receive joining instructions by email (link to meeting). They should also check the Spam / Junk folders of their email accounts. Candidates are asked to join the meeting 2-3 minutes before the time of the examination.

The candidates identity will be checked against their national identification card or passport at the beginning of the examination. In case the photograph does not show clear resemblance, another identification means must be provided. The document used for identification should be valid at the time of the examination.

The language examination will consist of a conversation on general topics and will last approximately 10 minutes.

The certificate issued following the examination is only valid for admission to UMF Cluj-Napoca.

The result of the examination is final and cannot be challenged. Candidates cannot ask for a remark.

The English language examination can be taken only once for the 2024 Admission to UMF Cluj-Napoca, regardless of the number of applications submitted.

Attention! Candidates from countries having English as an official language do not need to take the English language examination, if they took their high school graduation exams in English. Citizens of France, Belgium, Switzerland or other countries having French as an official language, do not need to take the French language examination, as the French Baccalaureate constitutes sufficient proof for the mastery of this language.

Terms and conditions

The candidate takes full responsibility for access to a device connected to the Internet and equipped with a microphone, speaker and video camera, for the duration of the examination.

The candidate needs to be alone in the room, and have no access to other electronic equipment except the one used for the examination.

Fraud or attempted fraud results in the termination of the examination. In this case, the candidate will not be issued a certificate. Examples of fraud include impersonation, using electronic devices other than the one used to join the meeting, communicating with other people except the examiners, using pre-prepared notes, etc.

All examination materials, content and procedures are confidential and may not be recorded, copied, stored, reproduced, distributed, displayed or used in any form.
